PDF Files:
We require that PDF files adhere to the PDF/X-1a standard to ensure proper
output. PDF creation using this convention will flatten all transparency
effects in a layout. This allows customers to inspect for any potential
output issues related to transparency within a layout before submitting
their files.
PDF/X-1a requirements:
- All fonts must be embedded in the file.
- All color data must be CMYK, grayscale, or named spot colors. The file should not contain LAB or RGB data.
- OPI is not allowed.
- Compliant files cannot contain any embedded multi-media data such as music or movies, or any non-printable annotations.
- The file should not contain any Javascript code or forms information.
- Encryption cannot be used.
- Transfer curves cannot be used.
